Entry requirements
The following documents are required from the international students at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka:
Please note that in order to be accepted to the Study programme of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka the prospective student must pass the Entrance exam (see Entrance Exam).
During the application process the student must begin the procedure of the Nostrification of the foreign school diploma (see Nostrification). The International Students Office helps the students with this process, so the students should bring the documents to the Faculty, which will be submitted to the Ministry of Education.
International students intending to pursue medicine in their home country must verify their eligibility to study and practice medicine in their respective home countries. The university does not assume responsibility for ensuring such eligibility and places the onus on the individual student to ascertain compliance with their home country’s regulations.
For students transferring from another educational institution, the following documents are required:
Please note that a student can only transfer to the Faculty of Medicine if they studied Medicine at another educational institution in the last academic year.
All documents must be in English and can be submitted as scanned copies. The original documents should be presented upon enrollment.
Once the application is submitted, the transfer committee will assess which courses can be recognized and determine the year of study a student can enroll into.
Please note that a student is recommended to be present on the territory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and register in person at the Faculty of Medicine on or before 15 December of each academic year, to be enrolled as student for that academic year. Late arrival shall lead to additional compensation of theoretical and practical classes.
