On 26 October 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka welcomed Professor Sergei Karpishchenko, Vice-Rector of Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University, and Professor Viktoria Gavrilna. The visit focused on strengthening ties between the two institutions and exploring opportunities for collaboration in education and research.
During their visit, the professors toured the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska and the Faculty’s Centre for Biomedical Research. They also met with the Faculty management to discuss future collaboration and a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.
The programme included lectures for final-year students of Medicine and Dental Medicine, offering an opportunity to learn from the visiting professors’ expertise and engage in academic discussion.
The visit marked a further step towards closer institutional ties and laid the groundwork for joint educational and research initiatives.
